As an organization focused on workforce retention strategies for our clients across the U.S., it's imperative that we understand the current state and mindset of the evolving workforce and provide the right tools and support to client to reduce turnover.

This requires ongoing research to gain and share unique insights about how to get and keep talent for companies across various industries. We'd love to offer the MBA students an opportunity to research current information and future trends in addition to creating tools that client organizations can use to assess turnover causes and implement more effective retention strategies.

Magnet Culture is wanting to create more consultative client offerings, beyond our current leadership training programs, that will truly impact retention rates for clients by assessing their custom needs and then walking them through appropriate retention strategies and improvement processes together.
Project Synopsis: Activities/Actions Required
  • Develop a research report on the current state of employee retention in the United States that can be used as a white paper for prospects as well as put into presentations and resource materials for clients
  • Expand Magnet Culture's current 10-question self-assessment tool for organizations to use to evaluate their retention effectiveness, which serves as a lead generation tool and introduction to Magnet Culture's capabilities, as well as an interactive activity for live retention workshops
  • Create a Retention Roadmap templated process analyzing areas of the company culture to help client organizations prioritize their retention initiatives and plan their implementation approach and timeline
Project Synopsis: Expected Results
Success would mean the MBA students provide current, thoughtful data and possibly tools to help Magnet Culture's client companies better understand today's new workforce and put realistic implementation plans in place to address unnecessary, costly employee turnover.


  • Preferred: Conduct primary research gathering current workforce data
  • Optional: Conduct secondary research gathering current workforce data 
  • Provide reusable templates for assessing and/or implementing retention strategies that Magnet Culture can use to extend current relationships with clients and grow top-line revenue
